Sam Woolf
Tech Support
Sam is our in house tech support guru at Crisp Apple Web Design. The bright spark nephew of Meg from Bloom Online, Sam started helping out with a few websites and admin tasks in 2018 and after inhaling some information – it must be an Appleby – Woolf Family trait – his role has quickly evolved.
He juggles his workload between his uni studies in Wellington, where he is studying Mandarin and Asian studies, with his eye on adding Spanish to his growing list of linguistic knowledge.
Based in Welly, and living in Ashburton where his family is from, Sam really enjoys the flexibility of a nomadic work-life balance. Which is he keen to take onto a bigger scale when he completes his studies.
He gained his outdoor instruction and management diploma after school, travelled and worked for a bit in regions such as Abel Tasman with a stint in Maine at Camp America.
Once he has completed his degree and added a bit more tech and web experience to his repertoire, Sam has plans to add a TESOL teaching certificate and to head to Asia next.
When Crisp Apple clients submit a help ticket or receive a monthly report, Sam is the Man behind it all. He finds it easy to learn coding languages and is happy to explore, unravel and manage tech tangles – the more complicated, the better.
When he is not working or studying, Sam – a veritable bumblebee buff – loves to be outdoors, hiking and exploring and has used the opportunity while at uni to sharpen his 10 pin bowling skills.
He has recently rekindled his violin playing skills, but at the end of the day, nothing beats a binge reading session with a really good book.
